The Challenge
Reworking the office floor plan from closed to open
An institutional Berlin landlord approached Setting with one wish: to transform their property into a modern, functional office spaces that would increase revenue and also bring reliable, trustworthy tenants.
Our team started by analyzing their space and identifying the areas that needed improvement. The initial transformation component involved re-imagining the crescent-like space into an open floor plan.
To accomplish the transformation, the landlord worked with Setting's team of experienced architects and designers who re-imagined the office space from a traditional crescent shape into an open floor plan, creating a flexible and collaborative environment that maximizes the use of natural light and encourages communication and innovation among tenants.
Acoustics and lighting were also important for the building, as the space needed good sound vibration and intimate spaces for teams to work and also meet.
The office solution
Taking down partition walls
After understanding the space requirements, our architects got to work. They started by taking down the partition walls to create an open and flexible workspace. This allowed for maximum natural light and space, as well as an open layout that would facilitate collaboration and communication among the team.
Flooring and set-up
One of the most most exciting parts of the design was exposing the concrete structure, which added an industrial and edgy vibe to the space. Our architects also removed the old carpet from all the space, which allowed us to create a more hygienic and eco-friendly environment. In terms of style, Setting architects opted for a sleek, modern style that reflected company branding.
Internet and style upgrade
The space also got also got a serious internet upgrade and media installation. The Setting team revamped the fiber internet, boosting its capacity y adding lines for direct connection inside work areas and meeting rooms.

For working areas, we used modular desks that were sized to allow multiple configurations and an efficient layout. This allowed for a flexible and adaptable workspace to meet changing needs.
Our team ensured that the space was equipped with top-end internet and technology to support the team's digital needs.
To create a professional and productive atmosphere, we kept the decorations to a minimum, allowing the unique features of the building's architecture to shine. The space was designed with all essential amenities in mind, from power outlets to kitchen facilities, and restrooms.
