Several companies were looking for a boutique offering in Mitte. Most importantly, they were looking for an open-office layout that matched their personality and branding. On top of that, they wanted to accommodate different team sizes by fitting in office units to allow growth within the space. Linienstraße 214 would accommodate all of their needs.

Besides team growth, a feeling of community and welcome was essential. The team was looking for a clear lobby that served as a welcoming space, as well as a break-out space for all work units. Team events were also essential to host.

Toilets, showers, extra phone booths, and a communal kitchen were also high on the priority list. The design team recognized that providing these amenities would not only enhance the functionality and comfort of the workplace, but also promote employee well-being and productivity.

Overall, by prioritizing these amenities, the office design team aimed to create a workplace that fosters a sense of community and collaboration, while also meeting the functional needs of employees.

The office solution

An open floor plan

The Setting team began the process of preparing the Linienstr. 214 office space for renovation by conducting demolition work. During this phase, the team took down partition walls and removed unnecessary electricity cables to clear the way for a new layout.

Electrical upgrade

On top of that, the space required a reconfiguration of electrical installation. The Setting team added extra power outlets for all spaces based on the functionality of each individual area, illuminating all areas for better work performance.

Styling and refurbishment

In terms of style, Setting architects opted for a sleek, modern design that reflected the company's brand identity. The design team incorporated clean lines, minimalism, and contemporary elements into the office space, creating a visually striking and cohesive environment.

The Results

A dynamic, modern office space with services

Our transformation of the space saw a complete overhaul of the original blueprint and design, adding technological, spatial, and service add-ons to ensure an office suitable for growth and modern needs.

The renovation was a major investment, but it has already paid off with increased productivity and improved employee morale. It also satisfied the landlord's desire for increased occupancy and revenue.

The transformation also included a complete configuration of furniture for the work area, community, and meeting rooms.  The work area is based on modular desks, sized to allow multiple configurations and have an efficient layout.

Lastly, we delivered the space in a plug-and-play fashion, meaning that the companies moving in didn't have to worry about any additional add-ons, such as WiFi or electricity. Setting also continued to provide ongoing support to all three companies in the building, organizing cleaning services, drink, and snack re-ups, as well as tech support 24/7.
