The “Art and Media Center Rheinhafen” by Frank O. Gehry (USA) is divided into three building parts rich in contrast and looks like a huge sculpture. Asymmetry dominates the buildings, the windows (custom-made) protrude from the facades, the floor plans are uneven. The selection of different materials gives each building complex its own identity. As a connection between the three houses, the material of the facade of the central building was chosen in such a way that the houses on the north and south side can be reflected in it.
