Eggs in a basket symbolize hacks.

Who hasn't experienced those annoying office situations, like untangling cables or searching for the right connection? However, such situations and many more can easily be avoided with some simple office hacks. It's not necessary to buy expensive office equipment; instead, you can use items that almost everyone has lying around the office or at home. Here, we want to introduce the 9 best and easiest office hacks.

1. Twist Ties

Nothing is more frustrating than untangling a messy cable drawer. One method to prevent cable entanglement is to use twist ties. You can either buy twist ties or simply use ones left over from packaging.

2. Toilet Paper Rolls

Another method is to store cables in unwound toilet paper rolls. This keeps everything organized, and the cables won't get tangled anymore.

3. Nail Polish

When dealing with a multitude of keys, it's easy to lose track. A good solution to this problem is to color-code the keys: nail polish works great for this.

4. Egg Cartons

Does your laptop overheat too quickly? Then it can help to raise the laptop off the table so the fan can work better. For example, you can place the laptop on a box of egg cartons to keep everything cool.

5. Colored Tape

Sometimes it's not easy to keep track of all your cables. Does this cable belong to the monitor or the mouse? This can be easily solved by marking the cables with colored tape. Plus, you can easily label the cables this way.

6. Cardboard

Of course, you can spend money to buy dividers for your drawers, or you can simply recycle what would otherwise end up in the paper trash. Old cut-up cardboard can be used to divide and organize drawers.

7. Post-Its

One might not want to know how much dirt accumulates in the keyboard over time. It's also difficult to get into those small gaps and clean it. A handy tool for this can be Post-Its. Dirt and dust simply stick to the sticky side, and the keyboard becomes clean again.

8. Pen Spring

Cables are most easily damaged at their ends. You can reinforce these areas by wrapping the spring from an old pen around them.

9. Cable Organizer

With a basket underneath the desk, you can remove the cable mess and sockets from the floor. Not only does it look better, but you can also stretch your legs again and won't have to dodge as often while vacuuming.
