About the space

The building complex THE SQUAIRE is an architectural masterpiece, because a static pioneering achievement has been completed: For the first time, a building of this size was erected over an ICE train station, between two motorways and on 86 columns. All while traffic is running.

Despite its 660 meters in length and 350,000 tons in weight, the aesthetic showpiece appears light and flooded with light. The eccentric name of the building is a combination of the English word for place (“square” ) and for air (“air”).

THE SQUAIRE stands for an urban attitude to life, which can be experienced through the five atriums, which are the central squares and, together with the numerous restaurants, cafés and shops, make the building a city under one roof.
